For example, the kayak blocks can be placed across the extension’s top crossbar to offer more functionality and stabilization.  This creates a safe and secure cradle while driving so there is no tilting or swaying. The wide cutout on the bottom of the block allows it to fit securely over the crossbar. While the kayak blocks were designed to be used with the Turbo Rack and Extenda-A-Truck, their universal fit means that they accommodate almost any roof rack bar on the market.
